One of the many activities that takes place at NCBC during the week is to host one of the 11 distribution centres in Norwich for the Foodbank. This is part of the Trussell trust which is managed from the office/warehouse on Ivy Road.
There are volunteers who work at the warehouse, sorting donations into boxes appropriate for individuals, couples and families. Volunteer drivers ensure that each distribution centre has sufficient boxes of food.
Then when the boxes arrive at NCBC, our team of volunteers set up their refreshments and often welcome support workers from Shelter and the Red Cross - who can assist needs beyond food.
